 Airport

Split Airport is 27 kilometers from Podstrana, and is one of the busiest airports in Croatia. This airport is not as big as some European airports, so you don’t have to worry about getting lost among the gates or missing your flight. Everything is very simple, and within the airport, you have various shops, coffee bars, restaurants, duty-free, rent-a-car, and other transfer options.

Transport from the airport to Podstrana

You have several transportation options: by car, taxi, or shuttle bus (departure every 30-60 minutes). Within the airport, there are rent-a-car points where you can rent a vehicle. At the exit, you will see taxi and shuttle bus stops. The shuttle bus will take you to the bus station in Split, after which you need to go to bus number 60 to Podstrana. The price (shuttle bus) is approximately HRK 50, while a taxi ride will cost you around  60-70 Euros (airport – Podstrana).

The best option is to contact your host and ask for all the details regarding the transfer.

How to get from Podstrana to Split?

If you want to go downtown, the best option is to go by the bus line number 60 or the private bus “Dalmatinac”. Line number 60 runs every half hour, while “Dalmatinac” runs every 20 minutes. See the schedule here.

How to get to nearby cities?

If you want to visit nearby cities like Šibenik, Zadar, Makarska, and others, it is best to go to the bus station in Split, where you have daily and frequent lines to some of the cities. You can also go by car, and thanks to the excellent highway, you will reach your desired destination quickly and safely.

Taxi

As for taxi transportation, there are private ones available, as well as Uber, Bolt, and other taxi applications. In addition to applications, feel free to ask the host to recommend the best, fastest, and most affordable option.

Supermarkets

In Podstrana, you have several supermarkets and smaller shops where you can buy all the things you need – food, drinks, hygiene, and other necessities. You will see Tommy, Konzum, Ribola, and Studenac, chain stores with excellent local, fresh products. On the promenade in Strožanac, there are stands with fresh fruit, vegetables, fish, and other foodstuffs and souvenirs.

The store’s summer working hours are generally every working day from 8 a.m. to 9/10 p.m. Most of them are also open on Sundays, and some have reduced working hours.

Currency exchange

If you need an exchange office, the nearest one is in Strožanac, near the Tommy store. In front of some of the shops, there are ATMs where you can withdraw money.
