King Arthur’s sword in Podstrana

On the beach in Sveti Martin, you will see a large, white marble sword. Do you know what that monument symbolizes? The sword was placed in that famous place because Lucius Artorius Kast once lived in Saint Martin. Fragments of a sarcophagus inscription were found on the fence of the church of St. Martin in Podstrana, which confirms his stay in our region. According to scientists, the hidden remains of his farm villa and mausoleum are still under the fertile subsoil.

Križ is the highest peak of Perun. It is 553 meters high and is located above Gornja Podstrana.
